The 2024 BIBF International Illustration Awards, which began accepting entries on March 12 and closed on April 30, attracted enthusiastic submissions from creators across 46 countries and regions, including China, France, Italy, Finland, Ukraine, Iran, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Israel, Switzerland, Russia, the United States, Spain, Belgium, Malaysia, Australia, and South Korea, etc. These entries showcased the diverse styles and innovative vitality of illustration art worldwide.

This year's Awards received over 12,000 entries for the Professional Category and more than 1,400 submissions from illustrators in the Teenager Category. After rigorous selection by the Awards jury, 120 outstanding entries from 23 countries and regions were shortlisted from 626 professional submissions for the final review. Meanwhile, 49 entries emerged from the 300+ shortlisted works in the Teenager Category to advance to the final round.
