The 2025 BIBF International Illustration Awards has convened a distinguished jury comprised of internationally acclaimed experts in the field of illustration, along with representatives from leading publishing houses both in China and abroad. With extensive backgrounds in illustration, visual arts education, publishing, and international market communication, the jury members bring authoritative and diverse perspectives to uphold the fairness and professional standards of the awards.

Evaluation will be based on key criteria including artistic expression, originality, and technical execution. Furthermore, the jury will take into account current trends and industry demands to identify exceptional works that possess strong international potential and communicative value. Through a rigorous multi-perspective review process, this award offers participants a unique opportunity to engage with prominent global experts while continuously enhancing the worldwide visibility and art influence of Chinese illustration.

The 2025 BIBF International Illustration Competition – Youth Category features a special themed section titled “Gifts of Nature”, jointly supported by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in China. This category invites outstanding original works from young illustrators around the world, aiming to build an international platform where the next generation of artists can launch their creative journeys.

This year’s competition has also received strong support from several leading Dutch cultural and artistic institutions, including the Mauritshuis, Fien & Teun, and the non-profit organization Laugh for a Day.
