Since its launch in October 2025, the 2026 BIBF International Illustration Competition has attracted active participation from illustrators across 58 countries and regions, including China (including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan), France, Poland, Iran, Spain, Russia, the United States, Italy, the United Kingdom, Romania, Australia, Malaysia, Ukraine, Singapore, Colombia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Canada, India, South Korea, Israel, Thailand, Mexico, Indonesia, Japan, Portugal, Greece, Argentina, Egypt, Estonia, Vietnam, Slovenia, Uzbekistan, Uruguay, Switzerland, Serbia, Sri Lanka, Germany, Chile, the Netherlands, Finland, and Belarus.

According to statistics, a total of 18,286 entries were submitted to the professional category of this year’s competition. Following a rigorous preliminary review by the judging panel, 580 groups (comprising 4,116 pieces) of outstanding works from 28 countries and regions have stood out and successfully advanced to the final evaluation stage.

Listed below are the longlisted entries for the professional category. The shortlist for the final evaluation will be announced on May 22. Please stay tuned!
